ARTKA makes it easier for art professionals to reach out – and for audiences to discover and experience more art. To bring the idea to life, they needed a website that could both inspire visitors and be simple for art institutions to use. That’s where we came in.
ARTKA is initiated by Röda Sten Konsthall with support from the Swedish Arts Council. The name comes from “karta” (map), and one of the site’s core features is an interactive 3D map that lets you explore Sweden’s art scene as if you’re scanning the streets, discovering galleries and exhibitions along the way.
ARTKA’s branding needed to be clear and welcoming, without overshadowing the art. We created a structured, dynamic, and open identity – a framework that lets the art speak.
To present galleries and exhibitions, we built a concept around a pixelated reveal. The idea is simple: through ARTKA, the art world is de-pixelated and opened up to more people.
